Eye Brows

Eyebrow FAQ

Should I pluck or wax my eyebrows?

No! Leave them if you can, ideally let them grow, any removal will be done by Rebecca at the end of the treatment if necessary.

Do you remove all the eyebrow hair prior to treatment?

No … eyebrow hair stays put throughout the treatment unless there are stray hairs that distort the shape and need removing.

What is the difference between machine method and microblading?

Machine method uses a machine to implant the pigment, microblading uses a small hand held tool to implant the pigment.

Rebecca will guide you throughout your treatment to ensure it is an enjoyable and comfortable experience, whilst providing you with a tailored aftercare kit to use at home, complete with instructions.

A full consultation takes place prior to the procedure, during which all available options are discussed, taking into account your expectations, lifestyle, facial structure, hair and skin tone along with eye colour. Pigments are blended to create a bespoke colour just for you. Only when you are completely happy with placement and colour do we start the treatment. Rebecca understands that everyone is different and that not one colour and size suits everyone.

You may resume your normal activities immediately following the treatment, clients often go back to work or out the same evening. The treated area will always look a little darker immediately after treatment and will soften during the healing process. Our retouch appointment is always included with any new treatment and is usually 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment. In order to maintain your chosen look, we recommend you return every 12-18mths for a colour boost to keep your colour looking fresh.

Pre Care Advice

Please avoid alcohol the night before treatment and avoid or reduce your caffeine intake on the day of treatment. If you take aspirin or blood thinners, you should check with your doctor that you are ok to stop taking these a few days before treatment.

Aftercare Advice

Following treatment, we recommend that you do not get your eyebrows wet, do not apply makeup to the area, do not expose the areas to extreme heat or cold, do not use things such as sunbeds or steam rooms.

The colour will look significantly darker to begin with straight after treatment and will soften as the brows go through their healing process, this can take up to 10-14 days.

Bathe and clean the area as instructed, using the ointment provided in your aftercare kit sparingly, ensuring your hands are clean and you use clean cotton pads and buds every time.

Please note that sometimes during the healing process the brow can look like its disappeared or can become patchy, this is all part of the healing process, nothing to worry about and will be assessed at your touch up appointment.
